Environmentally-Friendly Computer E-Recycling Day in Montague County on April 13

Bowie Business Boost III delves into marketing strategies – Bowie News

On April 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Emergency Communications Team Montague County is hosting a computer E-recycling day in the Bowie City Hall parking lot. This event is an excellent opportunity for individuals to dispose of their unwanted computer components in an environmentally friendly manner.

During the event, the organizers will ensure that any computer hard drives are destroyed to prevent anyone from accessing personal information stored on them. Examples of items that can be recycled at the event include desktop computers, laptop computers, LCD monitors, keyboards, mice, scanners, printers, and battery back-up units. If you’re unsure about how to safely dispose of your computer components, this event is an excellent solution.

In addition to computer components, the E-recycle day can also accept sealed lead acid (SLA), nickel cadmium (NiCad), nickel metal hydride (NiMH), and lithium ion (Li-Ion) batteries for recycling. However, they cannot accept alkaline batteries or computer monitors/TVs with cathode ray tubes (CRTs).

The event is free to the community and any proceeds will benefit the Montague Emergency Communications Team and the Montague County SKYWARN program. For additional information about the event, email [email protected]. Don’t miss this opportunity to clean up your unwanted computer components in an environmentally friendly way!
