Bulldogs Softball Dominates Mountaineers with 30-Point Sweep | Latest News in Sports and Jobs

The Hancock Bulldogs softball team dominated the Iron Mountain Mountaineers with their outstanding performance in both games. In the first game, Sofie Freeman had a standout performance, driving in four runs with a single, a triple, and a two-run home run. Brooke Koskela also shone, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a double. Scholie Sydnie contributed to the team’s success by going 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Ella Storm had an impressive outing as well, scoring three runs on two hits. Sadie Biekkola was exceptional in the pitcher’s circle, striking out 10 batters while giving up only two hits and also getting two hits and two RBI at the plate.

In the second game, the Bulldogs continued their dominance by scoring seven runs in the second inning and nine in the fourth. Diem Kilpela earned the win as the pitcher by striking out seven batters and giving up only four hits. Freeman was again instrumental in the team’s success by hitting a home run, driving in two RBI, and scoring three runs. Scholie had another strong outing by going 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored. Mallory Sporalski made a significant contribution to the offensive effort by hitting two doubles and driving in four RBI. Biekkola and Storm each got two hits and scored one run each.

The Hancock Bulldogs will next face Calumet at Hancock Driving Park on Tuesday for their next matchup against another rival team.
