Idaho’s Transportation Technology Center: Dedicated to Preparing Future Leaders in the Agricultural and Transportation Industry

CSI inaugurates a new Transportation Technology Center

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Transportation Technology Center at the College of Southern Idaho, attended by personnel, government leaders, and members of the Twin Falls community. During the ceremony, Tiffany Seeley-Case, dean of general and transfer education, emphasized the center’s role as a hub for excellence in education and workforce development. She highlighted its importance in preparing individuals for the demands of the modern transportation and agricultural industry.

Idaho Lt. Governor Scott Bedke shared his remarks on the occasion. He noted that there are currently 600 job openings in this field in Idaho, emphasizing the high demand for well-trained employees. CSI President L. Dean Fisher and Twin Falls Vice Mayor Jason Brown also made comments during the event. The new center will cover approximately 28,000 square feet and house the college’s Heavy Equipment Ag Technology and Diesel Technology programs. It will also support industry training and expand dual credit collaborations with the Twin Falls School District.

Funding for this project comes from the Idaho Department of Public Works and CSI, with a total budget of $15 million. Starr Corporation will oversee the construction management of the project. The center is expected to open in October 2025.
