Man Indicted on Two Additional Charges of Forcible Sodomy: Legal Troubles for Petersburg Rapist Continue to Escalate

Waynesboro business rape case: Suspect arrested and charged with assaulting woman

Jamies Chacon, a 44-year-old man from Petersburg, has been indicted by the Waynesboro grand jury on two additional charges of forcible sodomy. He is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail in Verona, where he has been since his initial rape charge in September. The incident that led to his arrest is said to have taken place on July 23 in a backroom at the Eagle Game Room on West Main Street in Waynesboro.

The business has since closed down, and Chacon’s legal troubles continue to mount. He was initially charged with rape and has been in jail ever since. A two-day jury trial is scheduled to begin on September 17 in Waynesboro Circuit Court.
