Mexican Culture and Nature Come Together for Dia del Niño Celebration in Denver

This Sunday, Dia del Niño offers free admission to Denver Museum of Nature & Science

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is partnering with the Mexican Cultural Center to host Dia del Niño on Sunday, April 28. This national holiday in Mexico honors childhood and features music, dance, and various activities. With its roots dating back 100 years, Dia del Niño is a significant celebration in Latino and Mexican culture.

Rachel Garcia, Executive Director of the Mexican Cultural Center, emphasizes the importance of children in their culture. She notes that this event is an opportunity to celebrate the unique aspects of Mexican culture that make Dia del Niño a special occasion.

Maya Youcef-Toumi, Bilingual Program Coordinator at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, describes Dia del Niño as a dynamic and energetic day filled with excitement and fun for all ages. The event is free and offers half off admission to the “Orcas” exhibit and Planetarium shows.

The Mexican Cultural Center and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science are excited to collaborate on this community celebration, which highlights the importance of celebrating children and their unique cultural heritage.
