Microsoft’s Copilot and Intelliframe: Enhancing Collaboration and Communication within Teams

Copilot is enhancing Microsoft Teams with video call summaries and enhanced features.

Microsoft is committed to improving collaboration and communication within Teams through the introduction of enhancements in Copilot. Copilot, a generative artificial intelligence chatbot within Teams, will be rolled out in phases starting with meetings in May, message writing in April, and calls in June. With Copilot’s help, users can extract information from Teams meeting chats, adjust message style in the chat, and receive call summaries.

Microsoft has also announced the default activation of Intelliframe on Teams Rooms meeting room devices to enhance visibility for both in-person and remote participants. Additionally, Windows Autopilot has been integrated into Teams Rooms for faster deployment of meeting room devices. The ecosystem for ‘Bring Your Own Device’ (BYOD) has been expanded to include shared viewing mode, support for smart speakers, and BYOD IT Management for administrators.

The Teams Phone calling solution will support call transfers, forwarding, and incoming calls from call queues or auto attendants during network interruptions starting in the summer. These enhancements aim to streamline collaboration and communication within Teams showcasing Microsoft’s commitment to improving the user experience and productivity with their AI-powered tools.
