Nigerian Teenager Attempts to Break World Record with 4,000 Nail Paints in 72 Hours

Nigerian woman breaks Guinness World Record by painting nails for three consecutive days

Lisha Dackor, a 19-year-old Nigerian woman from Plateau state, recently embarked on a three-day marathon to paint over 4,000 nails in just 72 hours. With a nail brush in hand, she worked tirelessly at an events center in her home state to paint fingernails with various colors. Her attempt to break the world record came to an end on Wednesday, and she is now awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records.

In order for her attempt to count, Lisha had to paint 60 fingernails per hour. She embarked on this challenge not only to break the record but also to change the narrative about teen mothers like herself. As a single mother, she wanted to give hope and show that they have something valuable to offer society. Having worked as a nail technician for almost three years, she also hoped to put women from northern Nigeria in the spotlight and place her home state of Plateau on the map.

Plateau state is located where Nigeria’s mainly Muslim north meets the largely Christian south, making it a diverse and culturally rich region. Despite facing decades of insecurity and conflict between different ethnic and religious groups, Lisha received support from all ethnic groups during her record attempt. She hopes that her achievement will not only inspire others but also change the perception of Plateau state as a beautiful and welcoming place.

Lisha’s determination and hard work paid off as she managed to paint over 4,000 nails within the given time frame. If confirmed by Guinness World Records, her feat would set a new world record for painting the most nails in 72 hours. Aside from breaking records, Lisha’s achievement sends a powerful message about resilience and determination that can inspire others
