Russell Westbrook’s Amazing Recovery: How the Los Angeles Clippers’ Top Sixth Man is Preparing to Make a Comeback After Injury

Next week, Clippers guard Russell Westbrook is anticipated to make his return, reportedly.

Russell Westbrook is set to make a comeback to basketball after being away for less than a month. The Los Angeles Clippers guard will be rejoining the lineup next week, with a possible return as early as Monday.

Westbrook, known as one of the league’s top sixth men, sustained an injury during a game against the Washington Wizards three weeks ago. He underwent surgery to repair a fractured left hand and missed 15 games while recovering.

Despite the setback, the team was optimistic that Westbrook would be able to return before the playoffs, a hope that has now come to fruition. The injury occurred when Westbrook tried to make a steal as Wizards guard Jordan Poole had possession of the ball. Westbrook immediately felt pain in his hand and had to ask to be substituted out at the next opportunity.

The Los Angeles Clippers currently hold the fourth-best record in the Western Conference with a 43-25 record, putting them five games behind the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets who are tied for first. Westbrook’s return will bolster the team as they aim for success in the playoffs. In the 58 games he played this season, Westbrook averaged 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.
