Sloppy Autographs Leave Massachusetts Sports Collector with Financial Loss and Broken Heart

Collector Believes Tom Brady’s Careless Autographs Damaged His Sports Memorabilia

A Massachusetts sports memorabilia collector, Glenn Gagnon, is feeling the weight of his loss after discovering that his highly prized New England Patriots items have been ruined due to what he describes as sloppy autographs from Tom Brady. Gagnon had paid thousands of dollars to have the items signed at a Miami conference, but now some of them cannot be authenticated because the signatures are unrecognizable.

One of the items that Gagnon highlighted is a pair of TB Twelve shoes from a 2018 game. He spent $7,200 on the shoes, only to have an authenticator reject them. Gagnon said he paid a total of more than $14,000 to have the items signed, but now no one wants them and he is unable to get his money back. This situation has left Gagnon frustrated and disappointed as he had invested significant time and money into acquiring these collectible items. The fact that the autographs are now deemed illegible has devalued the items and left Gagnon with no recourse. It is a harsh reminder of the risks associated with collecting sports memorabilia and the importance of ensuring that signatures are authentic and legible.
