The Democratic Party’s Unity Front: Finalizing Lists and Facing Up to Key Challenges in the European Elections

Schlein confirms unitary line for European elections and prepares candidacy

The campaign for the European elections is in full swing, with the finalization of lists imminent. According to Secretary Schlein, the focus is on unity, as seen during the regional elections. The Democratic Party leadership is considering the candidacy of Secretary Elly Schlein, who they believe could increase their support in the European Parliament elections. However, there is a need to provide security to candidates who have been waiting for their positioning on the lists. Knowing where they stand will allow them to plan their campaigns effectively.

During a recent meeting, various options were discussed regarding Secretary Schlein’s candidacy for the European elections. The general staff are eager to finalize their list of candidates, which includes familiar names such as Emanuele Fiano, Giorgio Gori, and Pierfrancesco Maran. External personalities like Marco Tarquinio and Lucia Annunziata are also being considered for leadership roles. As they prepare for the elections, the party is focused on key themes and objectives to ensure growth and progress.

The Democratic Party has set plans to finalize their lists by April 15th as they address issues such as health care, freedom of information and addressing ruling class concerns. They see building an alternative to current government policies as a priority especially after recent events like ministerial resignations. The party aims to form alliances within their own ranks to combat right-wing opposition and uphold European values.

As they navigate through the challenges ahead, the Democratic Party remains committed to standing firm and fighting for what they believe in.
