Unleashing the Power of Community: The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon and Health and Fitness Expo

Health and Fitness Expo to Open Before Memorial Marathon Weekend

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is not just a race, it’s a weekend-long event that brings together runners, health enthusiasts and fitness companies. Before the races begin, participants and guests have the opportunity to attend the Health and Fitness Expo at the Oklahoma City Convention Center.

The expo opens at 11 a.m. on Friday and provides runners with an overview of what to expect during the event. Red Coyote founder Jon Beck, who owns health and fitness stores in the Oklahoma City area, describes the marathon weekend as the “Super Bowl” for his company. The expo attracts visitors from all over the country and beyond who are passionate about staying healthy and fit.

Upon entering the expo, runners can find the packet pickup station where they wait in line based on their bib number after presenting identification and bib number. They will receive their packet containing a bib, commemorative t-shirt, race towel, event guide, and course maps. For those participating in 5K, Senior Marathon or Kids Marathon races must pick up their packets on Friday before race day. It’s important for them to review information provided in their bib confirmation email for accurate division placement before racing day.

The Health and Fitness Expo is much more than just packet pickup; it’s an opportunity for participants to connect with fellow runners from around the world, gather information about various products and services that can help them achieve their fitness goals and prepare mentally for upcoming races. It’s also an excellent chance for people interested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle to learn new ways to stay fit from various organizations involved in this year’s Run to Remember.

In summary, attending the Health and Fitness Expo is crucial for participants of all ages looking to improve their physical fitness levels while connecting with like-minded individuals who share their passion for running.
