European partnerships and policies have acknowledged these issues and emphasized the importance of promoting healthy, safe, climate-friendly, and inclusive mobility and transport.
To capitalize on these favorable conditions, local clean transport solutions that prioritize health, safety, and environmental friendliness are needed. The Budapest Declaration adopted by countries in the WHO European Region further emphasized the importance of these principles.
In response to these challenges, EPHA is hosting an informative event that aims to delve into the crucial links between clean mobility policies and health outcomes. This event is viewed as essential for achieving transformative change from the city to the European level, beyond the year 2024.
During the event, participants will explore the reasons why it is important to prioritize health in mobility planning and advocate for sustainable, affordable, accessible, and healthy transport solutions for all.
