On the weekend, Los Angeles County health officials issued an exposure warning over an unidentified traveler carrying measles who visited various locations in the county from March 30 to April 1. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health was informed by the California Department of Public Health about the individual’s presence in the county.
The traveler, who is not a resident of Los Angeles, visited nearly a dozen locations during those three days, primarily in Universal City and at the Sheraton hotel near LAX. According to health officials, the individual visited Universal’s trolley and several rides, as well as the gym at the Sheraton and some local restaurants. Health officials advise anyone who visited the identified locations during the specified days to ensure that they have been vaccinated against measles.
