The XCC World Cup has kicked off the 2024 season with a fast-paced 20-minute race, marking the end of the off-season. The U23 riders were the first to hit the brand new course in Brazil, with Kira Bohm dominating the Women’s racing with a 17-second win. In the Men’s race, Riley Amos had a strong start to the season, finishing two seconds ahead of Dario Lillo.

The following day, the Elites took on the challenge of an intense sprint race in high heat and humidity in the Brazilian jungle. Kate Courtney led early on in the Women’s race, but Evie Richards made a strong push and ultimately took home the victory. In the Men’s race, Luca Schwarzbauer showcased his dominance in short-track format with Sam Gaze securing a thrilling final sprint victory.
