The Plaza Hotel recently hosted a unique event that broke the Guinness World Record for the most ballerinas dancing en pointe at the same time. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Youth America Grand Prix organized the event, which featured 353 white tutu-clad dancers who danced en pointe for a full minute. This surpassed the previous record set in 2019 with 309 dancers, including talk show host Kelly Ripa.

Sergey Gordeev, director of external affairs at YAGP, explained that the goal of the event was to showcase the healing power of dance and how it can bring people together during a time of disconnection. The dancers gathered at the hotel to demonstrate their skill and dedication to the art of ballet on a grand scale. Ballet is an art form that requires immense skill and dedication, and for the ballerinas at this event, it was a moment to showcase their commitment to their craft.

The record-breaking attempt brought together dancers from different backgrounds and areas of expertise, all united by their love for ballet. The event not only set a new record but also highlighted the beauty and power of dance as a form of expression and connection. It showed how dance can transcend boundaries and unite people from all walks of life in pursuit of something beautiful and meaningful.
